It's time to help family! Join us as we serve Marty and Leda, who are members of Summit. Marty is a Vietnam veteran. He and Leda have both been dealing with some health issues lately and are in need of some assistance with outdoor projects. We have an opportunity to serve a couple who have done so much for others, especially as they've served the Veterans community. We'll be trimming trees, raking leaves, weeding, cleaning up a garden, & then putting down plastic and mulch. Lunch will be provided by the leaders.
Troops will SERVE to staff the Kai Paul Hrabovsky 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament held at Homer Center H.S. This is an annual full day fundraising event to support a scholarship in memory of Kai. Who is Kai? Kai was a 16 year old student at Homer Center H.S. when he tragically was hit by a car and lost his life. His family has set up a scholarship in his memory and this tournament is the biggest contribution to sustain the fund. Volunteers do not have to serve all day but are asked to sign up for a 2-3 hour time slot. Opportunities are concession stand workers, time/scorekeeping, tear-down (greatest need), etc. Your project leader will provide you details and instructions based on your available time. This event has large community support and is always well attended. This is a fun event!
We're looking to distribute flyers and information around our local community so those in need know that My Choice Medical Clinic is there for them! This is a necessary ministry doing incredible work. Let's assist them as they make a massive difference in our community. Meet at Commonplace on May 21st! We'll ride together and distribute this info!
Who doesn’t love to get birthday cards in the mail? We are planning on sending each child that attends Summit Kids a card for their birthday. You can be a part of this card ministry by purchasing and donating boxes of RELIGIOUS birthday cards or donating Amazon gift cards so that we can purchase the birthday cards. These religious birthday cards should be appropriate for children nursery age through grade 5. Birthday cards and gift cards can be dropped off at the Info Center or you could have them delivered directly to Summit Church throughout the month of May. We're looking to send out about 400 cards! Thank you for helping us to celebrate the birthdays of Summit Kids!
